Those stones are still on the bridge and I myself lifted one in each hand on many occasions and one market day, I carried them across the bridge and back, some four to five yards - Donald Dinnie.

Fraser's lift was witnessed by Brett Nicol, Jim & Rosemary Splaine, Helen Knowles and Malcolm Nicol & the large crowd of spectators and lifters in attendance. Fraser came very close to making his first lift of the stones at the 2018 Gathering and it was great to see him set the record straight today.
